The next step will be to change graphic card to a GeForce and then hopefully I will get the camera working correctly. To burn JVC to DVD, one way is to convert JVC MOD/TOD to other. However, its not that easy to edit JVC videos, let alone converting JVC video to DVD. You can easily transfer JVC videos from your camcorder to computer. It can create amazing videos, which helps you store the excellent memory of life. On the two other computers that I have done tests with, they had GeForce 2 and GeForce 4. JVC camcorder is one of the best camcorders. It apperas as if the ATi Radeon Xpress X300 doesn't work very well with the camera. I think that the problem is the graphics card.
What you need is: a) A 1394/Firewire Card in your desktop. The JVC supplied software (bundled with the cam) is also quite crap. If I connect the DV camera to the Firewire in the DV Bridge so that I get a DV passthrough then I can even controll the camera and everything is working the way I want it. JVC-GR-D93 supports capturing via USB (USB streaming) but the quality sucks a big time. I can also transfer the video from the camera to the computer.

I also have tested by connecting a box (Hollywood DV Brigde) and when I do that I can see the movie in the preview window. I get pictures and a avi file in the computer.
I have tested the camera with two other computers and everything works perfectly with them. I can control the camera but I get no pictures in the preview window. I have updated the grapic cards drivers but it didn't work.
